Soaptopia offers quality ingredients and eye-catching packaging too.

Soaptopia, a Los Angeles-inspired manufacturer and retailer of handmade all-natural skincare, bath and body products, delivers the ultimate beauty experience to its universal customers. Founded in 2001 by Jolie Chitwood, Soaptopia, which is sold in Japan and the US, prides itself on fresh ingredients that are animal friendly and 100% “junk free”—or allergen-, chemical- and petroleum-free. “I was allergic to most products like so many others are. The purest and most natural products were so difficult to find, so I decided to create them for myself,” she said. Chitwood experiments with natural ingredients including quartz sand from Lake Tahoe, pomegranate extracts, white sage rub and agave nectar in 100+ of Soaptopia’s decorative eco-friendly soaps, “slathers” and salts. The moisturizing-rich Soaptopia products, ranging in price from $7 to $50, come in a diverse collection of fragrances, from citrus to earthy to warm and spicy. Made with plant-based ingredients, essential oils and wild-crafted raw shea butter from Senegal, Africa, Soaptopia products are Leaping Bunny-certified and PETA-certified. The company is also a Green America member. A new launch for summer is its Body Oils. Soaptopia sent Happi some samples of its classic hand cleansers. Housed in brown 12oz. pump bottles, the Liquid Soap ($14) variation is available in cute scent stories such as Beauty and the Beach (sweet orange, jasmine & vanilla), Melrosey Sunset (rose geranium, citrus & jasmine), Vanilla Morrison (vanilla) and L.A. Squeeze (lemon & lavender). Overall, these are very high-end products!
